The four flavors of uBu's Hiker's Hummus are situated on a wooden cutting board, next to a loaf of delicious sourdough bread, cucumbers, pita chips, and a bowl of the hummus reconstituted. The cutting board is on a blue check tablecloth on what appears to be a stump. All of this is situated against a boulder and various bits of foliage.

We make freeze dried hummus you can enjoy anywhere.

Enjoy hummus on the trail, in the treetops, or on the playground. We make hummus that doesn’t need to be refrigerated, that's lighter and easier to transport, and that turns up its nose at single-use plastic… unlike conventional hummus.

It’s made in small batches from great ingredient then freeze-dried; just add water, mix, and enjoy!

Hiker's Hummus

Need a long spork?

We're on a mission

Hiker's Hummus is the first phase in our mission to be the world's first carbon emissions free hummus. By freeze drying using renewable energy, we can both eliminate the need for refrigeration and make our hummus lighter & less energy-intensive to transport.

Our Plan to Save Hummus

Macha Chili Oil

Makes (almost) anything better!

You’ll find Salsa Macha—a fierce chili oil—on all the best tabletops in Veracruz, Mexico. Our Macha Chili Oil is a tribute to this fiery condiment. It’s a tasteful melange of dried chili, pepitas, almonds, herbs, and other tasty things that you can add to anything. You'll wonder how you lived without it.
